Fall really is my favorite time of year. I love the cooler weather, beautiful scenery, and all the opportunities to decorate. I am always looking for easy DIY projects that can be done on a budget in a short amount of time. Since I recently started a Pinterest Challenge over at Dutch Being Me I thought I would create something inspired by Pinterest today.
Today’s project is very simple, only requires a few materials, can be stored easily, and is pretty cute.
I was able to find all of the materials I needed at Jo Ann Fabrics for about $8. I found a variety of terracotta pots and then black, white, and yellow acrylic paint. I only used a little of the paint so that will be saved for a future project.
The project took about 30 minutes from start to finish. It’s a great project to complete in the evening while watching TV. To get in the spirit I turned on Hocus Pocus, one of my favorite Halloween movie.
This project is very simple and doesn’t necessarily warrant step-by-step instructions. I looked online at some pumpkin faces to give me a little inspiration and then just hand painted the faces on.
What I LOVE about this project:
This project is inexpensive, quick, and the final product can be displaced for several months during the Fall season. When it’s time to pack them away, they can fit inside one another for easier storage. It’s a great project to do with kids or a cute way to announce an addition to the family.
