|Today’s tip is sponsored by Old Navy!!|
I always admired stylish pregnant women when I would see them out and about. I never gave much thought to where they purchased their clothing or even how easy/hard it was to find things. I was about 10ish weeks in when my pants were too uncomfortable to wear and I needed to start looking for maternity clothing (specifically pants). It’s on the early side but my pants were pretty tight/uncomfortable before I got pregnant.
I quickly learned that finding maternity clothing was much harder than I thought. Stores like Kohls, JC Penny, Macy’s etc… claim to have a maternity section, but what I found was a rack or two containing a few items. While Black Friday shopping, Rob and I went into Gap kids and the back part of their store was dedicated to maternity
I will do a more in depth post later about my experience with maternity clothing. For the purposes of this tip, I want to introduce you to, what I have found to be the single most important article of clothing in my collection (well several since I bought 3 gray and 4 white).
The Old Navy maternity fibbed tank top! I wear one of these under almost every top pre-maternity and maternity alike. I also parade around the house in these and often sleep in them too. They are long and scrunched on the sides to grow with your belly AND they make my bump look oh so cute! It seems to just hug me in the right places. I will be open and say that at the time of my BFP, I was about 186 lbs. As of today, I am about 198. So, as a not so little preggo, finding something that hugs me in the right places and makes me feel good is better than gold, chocolate or french fries!
Most Old Navy stores do not have a maternity section but their online selection is THE BEST I have found with affordable prices and free shipping over a certain amount. I suggest you stop on by, you won’t be disappointed!
