Today’s Toddle Along Tuesday topic, hosted by Melissa over at Growing Up Geeky, is weddings. Still one of my favorite things to talk about since ours was only a year and a half ago!

My Uncle played Bless The Broken Road on his guitar as I walked down the aisle. It was so hard not to cry as I walked down the aisle. I never did like a lot of people staring at me! |

This is one of my favorite pictures of the day, not sure why 🙂 |
My favorite part of the day was all of the DIY projects I had spent the previous year and a half making with the help of my Mom, Dad and Rob. It was so amazing to walk in the room that night and see how everything came together!
My garter was made from my Grandmothers wedding dress. My Mom plans to make one for each of her granddaughters.
My Mom and I made all of the bouquets and boutineers. I also found a DIY kit to make a basket that just happened to match our color scheme for the flower girl.
This isn’t the best picture but I never had the photographer take one. I made a different bracelet for each bridesmaid.
We made floral pieces for the risers. I used a center piece from one of my showers for the program table that was made by Rob’s Mom and Aunt.

I made a “family tree” of our parents and grandparents on their wedding days.
I made the programs look like a newspaper. It was a little tricky to get all the information in story form but I was happy with the result. The picture was taken by Rob!

We had a metro DC theme so place cards were metro tickets with a location around DC on the back (their table) and there was a display at the entry that had a metro map and some of our favorite locations around DC and why. Each table had a wooden sign with a location. We used, you guessed it, my Cricut to make them!

I threatened to beat up anyone if they hurt themselves while jumping! |

Our day was perfect, even though the weather was not, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better! |
