While shopping at Hobby Lobby on Black Friday, I came across this cute Ready-To-Decorate banner made by The Paper Studio. It had 12 pendants sewn together with white ribbon. All it needed was a little Cricut love! As soon as I saw it, I knew exactly where I wanted to hang it in the new house! You’ll see where in a little bit. I decided to use the phrase, “Let It Snow” and insert a snowflake between each word.
For this project, I used my Cricut, the Cricut Design Studio, Storybook cartridge, When It’s Cold Outside cartridge, winter themed scrapbook paper, scissors, a ruler, a glue stick and a pencil.
So that I didn’t ruin the banner, I made a pennant template using large card stock paper. This way I could trace the shape onto the scrapbook paper easier.
I cut out 9 pennants using a variety of holiday themed scrapbook paper. The OCD in me alternated between a more red and more green dominate design.
I first glued the letter onto the pennant and then the pennant onto the banner. Don’t worry if the two do no line up exactly, you can trim at the end.
Overall, I am pretty happy with the final product and think it was a perfect addition to the banister!
