Buster Boy Is 21 Months
I can’t believe my little boy will be a whopping TWO years old in only a few months. I almost forget what he was like as an infant already… Good thing I have thousands of photos and videos to look back on to remind me 🙂
Now that Parker has gotten use to walking he has gone back to working on his vocabulary. I can’t believe how quickly he is learning words. For the most part, he is repeating a lot of what Rob and I say. There have been several instances where it was clear he understood the meaning of things.
– Rob and I were upstairs in my craft room working on a project while we waited for pizza to be delivered. All the sudden Parker said, uh oh…. knock knock”. Turns out, he had heard the pizza guy knocking at the door.
– On another occasion, P was looking at Rob’s phone and kept saying, “paci”. Sure enough, the photo on Rob’s phone is me holding Parker with his paci in his mouth.
– He has learned that if he wasn’t his paci and his blanket he has to go night night. He body runs like clock work because if Rob and I loose track of time, he will start saying, “night night” almost consistently at 7pm. He now also sleeps with a pillow which is so adorable. Rob noticed he was bawling up his blanket for under his head so we thought it was time.
– He is also extremely polite always saying in addition to saying, “hi, bye, please, thank-you, and welcome” he will now say, “bless you” when someone sneezes.
He is loving daycare and I can’t say enough good things about his teacher. The interaction with other kids has been great for the both of us. We get a chance to actually miss each other and I can get some “me” time while he has a blast.
Even though he doesn’t realize it, the best part about this month was announcing that he is going to be a big brother! He has no idea what I mean when I point to my belly and say, “baby” but I do know he is going to be a great big brother 🙂
