Documenting Life With The Obaby iPhone App
It’s time for me to come forward and confess… I have an obsession, an obsession with photography related apps for my iPhone. I am not exaggerating when I say I have thousands of pictures of Parker, even though he is less than 2 years old. Now that we are expecting another munchkin, there are even more special moments to document!
While I love getting out our Nikon for mini photo shoots, some of the most precious photos I have were captured on my iPhone. It’s always with me at the ready to catch that picture perfect moment. I had been in the market for an app that would allow me to add some character to my photos. I was so excited when Obaby gave me the opportunity to review their new iPhone app, Obaby+. While this app was provided to me free of charge, all opinions are 100% my own.
I started playing around with it as soon as it had finished downloading. I was very impressed with all of the options I had to customize my photos and how easy it was to maneuver through the app.
Here are some of my favorites at the moment…
Announcing an addition to our growing family on St. Patrick’s Day.
Last moments together at the airport before Rob left for a short deployment.
Care free afternoons at the park, soaking in the warm weather when we can get it!
Some of my favorite features include:
– 7 image size options
– 11 different categories
– Up to 650+ illustrations to choose from (check out some of the illustrations here)
– About 46 different font color options
You can also set an alarm to have the Obaby app remind you to take a photo on a daily or weekly basis. That certainly helps on those days where you don’t know where the time has gone.
Obaby makes it easy to share your photos on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, email and message when you are done. I love being able to send Rob photos via email in the moment during his deployments.
See something missing? You can suggest art work and vote for new illustrations. Obaby will even notify you when new artwork is available.
Obaby is available for $4.99 and comes with 300+ illustrations with the option to purchase an additional 350+ illustrations through in-app purchases. Obaby+ is the “big brother” to Obaby available for $14.99 and includes all 650+ illustrations and any future artwork that is added. While Obaby+ is on the pricier side, I think it is well worth it.
