25 Weeks

Munchkin is the size of a Cauliflower!

Weight gain: about 9 pounds

Sleep: Great when I have about 5 pillows with me, specific pillows that each have a separate job. I definitely prefer sleeping on my right side and propped up on my back this time around.

Miss anything: It’s starting to get really hot and I miss not being able to stand the heat. Our HVAC won’t make it through the summer so we haven’t turned it on yet. Just a window unit in Parker’s room to keep him comfortable. I know I will need the AC come July-September. I went to a popular flee market yesterday and it completely wiped me out for the day and I noticed my feet started to swell :/ Toooooooooo early for that!

Movement: We have decided baby girl loves Dr Pepper and french fries. She is the most active when I have either of those 🙂 I don’t drink coffee so I don’t mind having a Dr Pepper every now and again. I pretty much stuck with Caffeine Free Coke last pregnancy but it is really hard to find and rather expensive. We had a little scare with no movement for about a day last week but I got the Doppler out the next morning and heard a good strong heart beat right away. Then she made it known everything was a-okay for the rest of the day 🙂

Cravings: #1 on the list this week is meat. Rob made a few fantastic meals last week and I devoured the meat like a carnivore. #2 is strawberries. I have always loved them but with the warm weather and summer finally here, they taste so good!

Best moment last week: Spending some quality time as a family. Rob is using some of the vacation days he has earned over the last few months since he won’t be able to take leave starting in July. It’s great to have my partner in crime back. We really do work well together as a team and I don’t realize how much I missed him until he is back.
I did take a photo last week but never got around to writing up an update! I chose a strawberry bowl because I have been craving anything strawberry related like crazy lately. I was also photo bombed but it was by an adorable toddler so I didn’t mind at all!

And just for fun, here is a look at my 28 weeks picture with Parker right after Rob got home from deployment! It’s fun to look back and see the differences between the two pregnancies.

How far along? 28 weeks and 2 days!

Baby is the size of: Rutabago (which is a really weird looking thing!)

Sleep: The only complaint so far… My Snoogle has helped but the frequent need to switch positions and get up to pee makes it a little hard.

Best moment this week:  Sooo many things this week!
1. Rob surprising me a week early!
2. Picking out the nursery color and buying the crib
3. Taking the tour of our hospital today.
4. Having Rob home!

Miss Anything? Not a thing at the moment.

Movement: Oh yeah! Multiple times a day and most pronounced movements.

Food cravings: Sweets this week.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing at the moment.

Symptoms: Heartburn/acid reflux and RLP.

Looking forward to:  The next few weeks are going to be busy but amazing! Moving around some rooms in the house, getting the nursery painted, starting to set everything up and a few trips home!

Your past midway in your pregnancy now, but let me say congratulations on your upcoming baby! Pregnant women deserve to be comfortable at any time. I hope your AC issues are solved before the heat gets to be unbearable, even for your husband! Fixing this up means it would work for a number of years, so investing in an HVAC system pays off in the long run. Take care!
