The kids have been collecting books for quite a few years now so I tend to be a little reserved when buying new ones. During our monthly trip to Aldi I stumbled across these two box sets among all their Easter items. Caity has been obsessed with princesses and Parker with everything super hero so these were the perfect addition to their baskets.

The first thing Rob asked when I told him was whether or not they were board books, which they are. Even at 3 and 5 board books tend to hold up better. I am actually really impressed with the quality for the price. They are also a good size for small hands. The illustrations are vibrant and the story lines engaging. I love the secondary meaning behind both sets. It’s a great opportunity to go beyond a bed time story and try to help them make connections between a story, their emotions, and social responsibilities. Overall, they are a great addition to our book shelf!

The only downside is I wasn’t able to locate them on Amazon so hopefully you have a local Aldi you can stop at to pick these up! If you happen to stumble across them in another location I would love to hear where so I can share it with others!
