How far along? 30 weeks and 2 days! Baby is the size of: Cucumber Sleep: Not so much. :/ Turning is a challenge so I wake up a lot throughout the night. I am trying to make the best of it and get to bed early to help compensate. Rob and I ordered a Sleep Number bed (we have been wanting one for awhile now) in a king to accomodate our growing family. It get’s delivered on Friday and we couldn’t be more excited. I am hoping the extra space and ability to make my side soft (my number was 35) will alleviate some of the aches and pains.
Best moment this week: Again, so many to choose from! This weekend my parents, Tim and Brian came to help with the Meyer Home Tetris Game. We moved around several rooms in the house. We now have a guest room, nursery and the basement is going to serve as our den, art room/office and general hang out area. The boys got everything moved so quickly that they were also able to put together all of the IKEA furniture in the basement. Mom and I finished making the BBQ dinner Rob had started with all the fixings for dinner!
Tuesday the painters came and painted the guest room and nursery. Rob picked me up from work and I sat on the glider while he put together the crib. Notice that awesome color on the walls?!?!
The crib hadn’t been put together for all of five minutes before both kitties were in the room sniffing the crib, crawling underneath and looking through the spindles trying to figure out how they were going to get inside. We did catch them on camera but I will have to add those pictures later. Miss Anything? I am starting to miss the ability to walk around normal and be able to bend over and pick things up. I have adapted throughout the last few months but I still feel a little silly when it takes me 5 minutes to walk semi normal after sitting down for awhile. I also had to put away my wedding rings this week which was SO sad. I was doing so well but there is not way I can keep them on anymore :/
Movement: Still not able to get a pattern down but Peanut likes when I am laying propped up on my back at night and when I lay on my left side with my Snoogle close to Rob. I think Peanut knows when it’s Rob or I touching my belly because we always get a response.
Food cravings: Well, Sunday we took my parents to our favorite Southern place for lunch and I had fried pickles and stuffed french toast. :o)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing at the moment.
Symptoms: Heartburn/acid reflux, RLP and the newest unwelcome symptom of swelling hands and feet. Last week when we went to our first birthing class
Looking forward to: We are also going home to NJ this weekend to celebrate Peanut with the Ungemach family.
Your belly’s increasing size is a definite clue that your baby is getting bigger every day, weighing in at over three pounds now (he’ll be packing on the weight at a rate of half a pound per week for the next seven weeks). Also growing daily is his brain, which is actually starting to look like the real thing with those characteristic grooves and wrinkles. And now that your little genius can regulate his own body temperature and turn up the heat, he’ll start shedding lanugo, the downy body hair that’s been keeping him warm up until now.
Sorry, no picture this week :/ Things were so crazy prepping for the weekend!!!
How far along? 29 weeks and 2 days! Baby is the size of: Acorn Squash Sleep: The only complaint so far… My Snoogle has helped but the frequent need to switch positions and get up to pee makes it a little hard. Best moment this week: Babymoon with Rob this past weekend! Miss Anything? Not a thing!!! I am enjoying and trying to take in everything at the moment. Movement: Peanut has certain times of they day when it’s play time. Usually when I am laying down propped up on my back. Guess there is the most room to move around then :o) Some days there is kick boxing/jump-in-jacks and others it’s more like dancing. I still can’t get over how cool it is to see my stomach moving. Peanut seems to like my right side, in my rib cage the most although, he/she will venture to the left occasionally! Food cravings: Hummmm, nothing really. Just my usual sweet/salty mix! Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing at the moment. Symptoms: Heartburn/acid reflux and RLP. Looking forward to: This weekend when my parents and a few friends are coming to move some stuff around in the house! When I say “some stuff” I really mean “a lot of stuff”!!!
How far along? 27 weeks and 2 days. I was trying to take the picture at the end of each week but it has been getting too confusing to post so I kinda skipped week 26 (hey, it was only lettuce) and jumped right to 27!
Baby is the size of: Cauliflower
Sleep: Baby loves when momma is sleeping which means momma doesn’t sleep much these days.
Best moment this week: Just feeling the little one move when I put my hand on my tummy. Peanut also loves to listen to the Bellybuds!
Miss Anything? Having more energy to get things done. It’s hard for this productive multitasker!
Movement: Oh yeah!
Food cravings: Someone cooked some kind of pork roll, ham or bacon in the office yesterday and it was ALL I could think about for the rest of the day and night. I could almost smell the salt!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Damn gas smell in the metro :/
Symptoms: Heartburn/acid reflux and RLP.
Looking forward to: Making it to the third tirmester!!! I am also very excited about this afternoon. My parents and Sissy have a surprise for me that starts with a ride home so I don’t have to take the bus :o)
How far along? 26 weeks and 2 days (a little late)
Sleep: This week has had it’s really good days and bad days. I slept through the night a few nights but I think that lead to some problems later on in the week.
Best Worst moment this week: Sunday night I woke up with really bad cramping and back pain. It was bad enough I couldn’t fall back to sleep but I went to work hoping it would get better. After only getting worse throughout the day, I called my OB who told me to go to our hospital triage to get checked out. Luckily, a co-worker was kind enough to drive me since I actually didn’t even know where the hospital was yet. Our tour is in two weeks, so I guess now I will be a pro! I have to admit it was a little scary since they brought out all the bells and whistles. I also may have broken down crying when they said I have to get checked in and get a bracelet. I was there for about 3 hours and they confirmed it was not contractions or that I would go into labor in the next 2 weeks. Just a few minor things medication and water could take care of and a few tips on how to control my little “kick boxer”. Peanut seemed to love the attention and that Momma was laying still for a few hours. Several times the nurses would come in after Peanut literally kicked/punched the heart rate monitor off my tummy. Although a little painful, I will never get tired of seeing my belly morph.
Miss Anything? Bologna and cheese on potato bread with mayo!
Movement: We have a kick boxer on our hands here. While in the hospital triage, Peanut kept kicking the heart rate monitor off my tummy. The nurses kept coming in to watch. It really calmed me down to lay there and watch while hearing Peanut’s heartbeat.
Food cravings: French fries!!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing too bad this week.
Symptoms: Heartburn/acid reflux, RLP and even more growing pains. My LO is getting big!!!
Looking forward to: Making it to the third tirmester soon!!!
