For me it’s not summertime until you’re wearing flip flops, smell of sunscreen, and have a popsicle in your hand. I’m always looking for ways to give my littles snacks I can be happy about. When the opportunity came up to review the Garden Fresh Fruitsicles from Nuby I was thrilled. Being able to make our own Popsicles with the ingredients I want makes me one happy momma! As always all reviews are my own and I never recommend a product I won’t use with my family. Includes four freeze-and-feed popsicle molds with handles perfectly shaped for small hands and a freezer tray. Perfect for fresh homemade Popsicles. Add diced fresh fruit into each holder and add water or juice to the brim.
The wide popsicle-holder base catches drips as it melts to reduce the risk of messes.
Handles make it easy to keep a hold on for small hands.
Great for teething babies to help soothe sore gums.
The Fruitsicle tray can be purchased on Amazon for $7.99. It is BPA free, dishwasher safe, and recommended for children ages 6 Months +.
Although I like to prevent spills at all costs I knew it was time to get Parker drinking from a real glass at the table. Not wanting to clean up both spilled milk and broken cups I reached out to Nuby for a chance to review their Fun Drinking Cups™.
Nuby’s Fun Drinking Cups™ are the perfect starter cup for any toddler. I love their bright colors and fun transparent patterns on the side. They are the perfect size for small hands and durable enough to withstand drop after drop.
It’s also good for dunking chocolate chip cookies after the kids have gone to bed!
I remember my mom dragging me to the dentist twice a year throughout my childhood. She was persistent about oral hygiene and even had sealants put on our baby teeth. I am very grateful for her determination because I didn’t have my first cavity until I was 31 years old.
It can be tricky when it comes to oral hygiene for infants and toddlers. They don’t really understand what you are doing and well, they don’t make it easy when it’s not something they want to do. We decided to start getting them use to it at a young age and was lucky enough to try out the Nuby 4 Stage Oral Care System for free in exchange for my honest review.
Stage 1 is specially designed to instill positive and important dental hygiene for your baby from the beginning. Nûby’s Oral Massager is made of extra soft silicone with your baby’s comfort in mind. The three different surfaces allow the parent multiple options for cleaning and soothing of delicate new teeth and tender gums. The Oral Massager slips easily over an adult’s finger. You can then place finger in your baby’s mouth and gently massage their teeth and gums.
Being able to place the the Oral Massager on my finger and gently run Caity’s gums was an easy way to help brush away all the milk from nursing. Although I nursed throughout the night during this stage I was at least able to use it during our bedtime routine. I was nervous to do it at first but it got easier and I think Caity started to enjoy it. I started getting anxious to move to the next stage when she started biting down!
Stage 2is designed for babies over 3 months of age. It has been specifically designed to feel soft on the baby’s gums. It allows parents to brush and massage gums gently.
This was a nice step up from the Oral Massager. The brush is still very soft on the gums but the shape resembled more of a tooth brush. We started BLW around 6 months and started “brushing” a little more thoroughly. Around 9 months Caity started grabbing it herself and chewing on it. I often had it sitting at our shared diaper changing station so she could play around with it during changes, great distraction.
Stage 3 is designed for babies over 11 months of age. This brush massages and helps clean during the teething process. Also, this age is the ideal time to teach your child proper brushing habits and encourage the start of good oral health.
We started using stage 3 a little after Caity turned a year old. It was an easy transition from stage 2 and she started to mimic what her brother was doing when brushing his teeth. The brush is slightly wider and with the additional multi directional bristles it can cover both the gums and newly erupted teeth.
Stage 4 is designed for babies with teeth. Ask your doctor or dentist about when to switch to the soft nylon brush once teething begins. And remember, until your child has the dexterity to do it alone, you should follow up with additional brushing, etc. until they are older.
We moved Caity to the final stage brush around 15 months. At that point she had 8 teeth (4 top and bottom) and other than a few nursing sessions was eating 100% table food. She now loves this part of our night time routine and will often go into the bathroom herself and stand on the stool waiting for us. She isn’t very good at it yet so we do a quick brush and then allow her to play around with it afterwards. Her favorite is putting it under the water and then sucking it out, something her brother taught her!
The Nuby 4 Stage Baby Oral Care System is available here on Amazon.com for $12.44 USD and here on Amazon.ca for $17.90 CAD.
Caity never really took to a pacifier so I have noticed she likes to chew a lot more on her toys than Parker. I like to have a few toys in each room to keep her occupied when I need to get dressed or make dinner. We have always been a fan of Nuby’s teethers and I was so excited when Nuby sent us the Squeeze n’ Squeak Elephant to try out in exchange for my honest review. As always, all reviews are 100% are my own and I never recommend a product I do not use myself or with my family.
The colorful and animated characters are appealing to baby while the variety of textures help soothe sore gums.
There are several rings and hoops that make it easy for little hands to grab a hold. Caity likes holding on and flinging it around, especially when her brother is bothering her.
The Squeeze n’ Squeak Teether is appropriate for ages 3 months, BPA-free, and is currently available at Walmart for $5.97.
I am having a hard time facing the fact that my little baby is growing up. Although I can try to deny it until the cows some home it’s impossible to ignore the obvious signs of teething. The drool, irritability, need to chew on everything, and the occasional fever. Yep, my little girl is teething. Crap!
We have always been a fan of Nuby’s teethers and were excited when they sent us the 3-Stage Theether Set to try out in exchange for my honest review. As always, all reviews are 100% are my own and I never recommend a product I do not use myself or with my family.
Stage 1: Teethe-eez Super Soft Teether Since she is just in the beginning stages of teething we have been using the Teethe-eez Super Soft Teether designed for babies 0+ months. The soft texture of the bristles provides a delicate comfort to Caity’s gums. When it’s time, the design will help assist the process when her teeth begin to break the skin. She is still a little too young to hold it herself, although she sure tries, so we do it for her. Of course that means we get covered in drool in the process!
Stage 2: Softees Soft Silicone Teether We are about ready to introduce this next teether which stimulates the lips and tongue to help with the transition to chewing. The Softees Soft Silicone Teether has different textures on each nub for different sensations and more places to grab a hold as she develops her fine motor skills.
Stage 3: Softees Hard & Soft Teether Eventually we will introduce this next one to Caity, around 6 months, which has more of a dual surface to massage and soothe sore gums and reach those back teeth. The Softess Hard & Soft teether is lightweight and easy to handle.
The 3-Stage Teether Set also comes with a travel pack of Nuby All Natural Pacifier and Teether Wipes. These are perfect for the diaper bag when you need to do a quick disinfecting on the go! You can purchase the 3-Stage Teether Set at Walmart.com for about $13 and Target.com for about $15 in two different colors.
I quickly learned that once Parker started eating table food it was really important to add travel silverware to our diaper bag. While he could manage with normal silverware in a pinch, it’s much easier to have something his own size. They Nuby Travel Set is the perfect solution for on-the-go families.
The set comes with 4 forks and 4 spoons that fit in a carrying case for about $6 and can be purchased at Amazon, buybabydirect, cookieskids, idealbaby, Ross Dress for Less, and TJ Maxx.
Each have small handles and wide bases, perfect for small toddler hands and hungry bellies.
My favorite part is the multipurpose carrying case they come in. It keeps the utensils sanitized, diaper bag clean and can even serve as a snack holder in a pinch.
