Does fusible interfacing need steam?
Generally, most interfacing requires a steam iron with a metal iron place. The steam helps the glue to melt properly to adhere the fusible interfacing to the fabric.
How hot should the iron be for interfacing?
A domestic iron commonly heats to a temperature of 180–220 °Celsius, depending on the fabric. You do need to apply quite a bit of pressure when fusing – DO NOT USE AN IRONING MOTION– that will only drag the fabric and fusing. As you can see from the guidelines above the fusing does take time, from 10 to 16 seconds.
Can fusible interfacing be washed?
