If the yarn matted up, its not superwash. It is got battered and fuzzy but is still a single length of yarn, it is superwash.

However, it provides the maximum wash time and action for tough stains and soils, like blood, grass, grease, etc. It works the same as the normal cycle, but it will take longer during the wash cycle.
